Suspension files are used in filing cabinets, desk drawers, cupboard and file boxes.

Available in A4 or Foolscap in a variety of colours to help differentiate the contents and be a visable guide whilst suspended hanging in a file drawer, making identification easier.  A4 is generally used in home filers and Foolscap size in office cabinets, cupboards and drawers. Also commonly known as hanging files, filing cabinet files, filing cabinet dividers, file cabinet dividers and suspended files.
The majority of suspension folders used are a V base but if buying suspension files for a cupboard, usually they are viewed from the side of the file so your identity tab is placed vertically on the side of the file - these are called lateral files.
Other variations include extra strong plastic suspension files, linked hanging files and suspension files with an very wide bottom gusset to hold large amounts of paper.
The plastic tabs and card inserts usually come complete with the suspension files but extra packs are also available separately.
